Floods in Pakistan.

FLOODS IN PAKISTAN -
A REGULAR FEATURE.

Each year Monsoon rains come to Pakistan in the months of July and August. These rains cause floods in some area of Pakistan. Mostly affected areas include Punjab, Sindh, adjoining parts of Balochistan and some parts of Khyber Pukhtun Khwa.

Since independence of Pakistan, it has been facing the heavy floods. Floods washed the infrastructure of affected areas. Flood of 1972 is considered the worst one. It caused heavy loss to people, their property, animals, crops and their villages/cities as well.

Flood of 2010 was also very fatal, it damaged many parts of Pakistan. Now in 2013, Flood again inundated many parts of Pakistan. About one million people are victims of it. Punjab and Sindh are facing very difficult situation.

One other main reason for worst condition of flood in Pakistan is the water sent suddenly by India into the rivers entering Pakistan. This added water makes the flood situation more dangerous for Pakistan and causes heavy loss to people, animals, property, crops etc.,

Floods can be avoided if suitable reservoirs of water are arranged throughout the country, if banks of rivers and canals are maintained properly, if rapid rescue operation is taken into account and if illegal encroachments are brought under control.

Pakistan is likely to get rank of 5th most populous country till 2050

Population Bomb will shift Pakistan to the 5th rank of most populous country till 2050

Islamabad:

Just 65 years have passed after independence, now Pakistan has been considered as a congested country. Presently, Pakistan stands at the sixth place in the line of most populous countries  in the world. As per record of 2012-13, its population shooted to population of 184.35 million. At this instant, China is no. 1 most populous country followed by India as 2nd most populous country.  If the same rate of population (growth rate of population in 2012-13 is 2.0) is maintained then it is expected that it will attain one above position i.e. 5th position in the world by the end of 2050.

Median age in Pakistan is estimated as 22 years. it has one interesting aspect that Pakistan is a young country. One more beautiful aspect of population is that the working population is 110 million out of 184.35 million, which become 60 per cent of total population. This interesting aspect of population on their work compels to understand that country has abundant economically active human resource which can lift its fortune to the top of the powerful countries.
